Adrenaline & Extreme adventures
Do you have what it takes to experience some of the extreme and adrenaline raising tasks?
In the winter time you can take a guided snowmobile wilderness tour? Or a husky Husky sleigh ride in the Arctic Circle? Or take a freeride skiing tour with and experienced guide.
In the summer time you can clime on top of Ounasvaara to watch the midnight sun without sunset! Take a tour in the wilderness on an ATV or go fishing at the river Ounas with a fishinf expert…
Only thing that is sure is that you wont get bored at Lapland, it is simply impossible.

Rovaniemi is the place to go shopping while visiting Lapland. There are shopping malls, various shops full of Finnish Design, many boutiques with unique, luxurious and handmade arctic specialities.
Whether you visit Korundi, Arktikum, Pilke, or the Rovaniemi Theater, you’ll find their carefully curated shops reflecting the heart and soul of Lapland. Going shopping in any of the venues’ shops, you don’t have to buy ticket to the exhibitions or shows.
Of course there is the Santa Clause Land with souveniers and if you wish to go shopping sustainably, it can mean buying locally designed and produced items and quality design goods that last long.

Rovaniemi offers a variety of enjoyable services, from massages to facials, from hair salons to pedicures, from barbers to yoga or meditation and so on.

In case you just want to relax and enjoy yourself in front of the fireplace after a fun day and sauna – there are several service providers from whom you can order delicious food as well as filling the fridge.
NOTE! However, Finnish law prevents the home delivery of alcoholic beverages – unfortunately you have to pick them up yourself at the nearest ALKO, which you can find here.
summer vs. winter
In summer, you can choose from hundreds of nature trails to your liking, fish in Ounasjoki or admire the northern lights from Ounasvaara peak.
In winter, you can go on snowmobile adventures or ski on Pohjola’s wonderful fells. You can experience the magic of soot coffee by a campfire at the end of a snowshoe hike or ski to the top of Ounasvaara to admire the scenery.
And remember: You can always enjoy great food and service, regardless of the season.
